Montika tablets are used for asthma patients and belong to anti-leukotriene class of drugs. This class of drugs treats against leukotriene receptors hence named ‘antagonist drugs’. They are used by asthma patients to prevent an asthma attack. The medication reduces the inflammation to prevent broncho-constriction and ensures easy breathing.

Composition

The active ingredient of the montika tablet is ‘Montelukast’. Montelukast treats by working against leukotriene D4 receptors. The active ingredient stops the release of certain chemicals in the lungs.

Montika tablets 10mg uses are described below. 

  • The medicine is used to treat shortness of breath suffered by asthma patients.
