- Avoid consumption of tobacco or if you smoke cigarettes, immediately stop using them. The reason is smoking can increase the side effects of heart attack, strokes, and blood clots formation. They can also raise the chances of getting high blood pressure from hormonal birth control. These side effects can be severe in people having older age as they can increase with age.
- You should limit the time that you spend in sunlight as it can cause dark areas on your skin that can be worsened in sunlight. Also, avoid the use of sunlamps and wear protective clothes that protect you from sunlight.
- Yaz tablets in pregnancy can cause severe problems. So, avoid its use in pregnancy.
Store the Yaz tablets at room temperature and keep them away from moisturizers.

Use caution in patinets with family history of breast cancer or DVT/PE; current or previous depression, endometriosis, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, bone mineral density changes, renal or hepatic impairment, bone metabolic disease, systemic lupus erythematosus; conditions exacerbated by fluid retention (eg, migraine, asthma, epilepsy). Increased risk of ovarian cancer reported in women who used hormonal therapy for menopausal symptoms. Severe anaphylactic reactions including hives , pruritus, swollen lips-tong-face, respiratory compromise, abdominal pain, vomiting during transdermal treatment reported.
