Artem Ds Plus 40/240MG Tab 1x8 (L)

This medicine is used in the treatment of Malaria in children and adults. Malaria is an infection which is caused by the bite of a mosquito in that region of the world where Malaria is common, like marshes. The parasite of Malaria enters into the body and attacks red blood cells, and causes disease.

Artemether 80mg, Lumefantrine 480mg are the two main ingredients in this medicine which belong to the class of drug called antimalarials.

Artem DS plus is used to kill the parasite of Malaria living in red blood cells. This medicine is needed in complete cure of disease and help to avoid the return of the infection. The medicine is not used to block Malaria. Concern your doctor before using this medicine.         

Usage

• Before using the medication, you must read the patient information page. If you have any confusion regarding usage, firstly ask your doctor or pharmacist.
• Take medicine by mouth after food, as prescribed by the doctor. This medication is taken twice a day with a meal for 3 days total 6 dose as prescribed by your doctor. The second dose is taken after 8 hours of 1st dose on the first day. Then after the next 2 days, take one dose in the morning and one in the evening.
• Medication is taken with food, milk because food helps medication work better. If a child does not swallon medicine, then tablets may be crushed and mixed with water and given to them as per dose. Go after the dose with food or drink like milk, pudding, etc.
• If the patient takes drugs and vomits within 1 or 2 hours, take the dose again and tell the doctor right away. You need to complete your course of therapy. If the patient vomits 2 doses, then you will be treated with different medication.
• The treatment is based on medical condition and response to treatment of the patient. It is important to complete the course of treatment, don't take less or overdose on medication. This medication is used to treat Malaria.

Overdose

If the patient overdosed on the medicine and has serious symptoms like trouble in breathing, contact with your doctor immediately without any delay. Symptoms of overdose include Fainting, irregular heartbeat, usually slow, and dizziness.

Before starting the treatment, medical tests and laboratory tests should be performed.
