Betaderm is used to treat various skin problems such as dermatitis, eczema, allergies, and rashes. It provides relief from the itchiness caused by these conditions. It belongs to the category of medicines known as steroids. It should not be used excessively because steroids are harmful to the kidney and liver.

Composition

It is composed of Beclomethasone and other inactive ingredients. It reduces the inflammation, itching, and redness caused by skin problems. It makes the area numb and stops the itching for a short period. It works by reducing the action of chemicals responsible for the inflammation of the skin. It halts the growth of bacteria responsible for the inflammation. 

Uses

Betaderm lotion has the following uses.

  • It is used to treat psoriasis; In this condition, dry and itchy wounds are formed on the skin. They are quite painful and do not have a permanent cure. Betaderm lotion provides temporary relief from the itchiness of the wounds.
  • It is helpful in treating eczema, dermatitis, and certain other skin allergies.
  • It reduces the redness and swelling and provides relief from the itchiness of the wounds.
  • This medication is also helpful in treating scalp problems.

How to use the ointment?

  • Cleanse the area with lukewarm water
  • Pat dry the area
  • Apply the thin layer of the ointment and leave it be for a few minutes.
  • Cover the area after applying the product in case your doctor has advised.

This medication is used to treat a variety of skin conditions (e.g., eczema, dermatitis, allergies, rash).

Dosage

  • The dosage requirement varies from person to person. It depends on the severity of the situation.
  • It is a steroid, so it should not be used more than thrice a day.

  • In case of a missed dosage, apply it as soon as you remember it.
