This medication is for treating skin infections like impetigo or other skin infections resulting from skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, or minor burns/cuts/wounds.

Uses

This medication treats skin infections like impetigo or other skin infections resulting from skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, or minor burns/cuts/wounds. Gentamicin prevents bacterial growth by blocking bacterial cell division. This antibiotic only treats bacterial infections. For virus or fungus infections, it will not be of any use. Overuse or unnecessary use of any antibiotic can lead to antibiotic effectiveness decreasing.

Direction

Before using, wash your hands. Perform a thorough clean and drying of the affected area as instructed. Dry, crusty skin on impetigo-infected skin must be removed to increase the likelihood of antibiotic treatment. As directed by your doctor, apply a small amount of medication several times each day, usually in a thin layer. You may apply a sterile gauze bandage to the area if asked to do so. Take care of the infected area. Unless you are using this product to treat your hands, do not wash your hands.

In order for the cream to be applied, the area in which it will be used must be clean and dry.

Only a thin layer of cream should be applied to form a thin layer.

Warning

  • Medication should not be applied on an uncovered area, and the open area should be left uncovered until the doctor instructs otherwise.
  • Only use a small amount of it because it won't have an effect and may make the skin condition worse
  • Tell your doctor or dentist before having surgery about all the products you use (including prescription drugs, nonprescription drugs, and herbal products).
  • When it is clear that the medication is needed, use it during pregnancy. Before talking to your doctor, be aware of the potential benefits and risks.

Storage

This cream should be stored at room temperature or in the fridge as it has particles that may separate in higher temperatures and cause a bad skin reaction. Make sure children stay away from it and do not eat it.

Availability

It is available in every pharmacy, medical store and online store in pakistan, with accessible rates; if not, then there also are other brands with the same generic formula; therefore, it's easily available for purchase.
