Gixer Syrup is Used for

Cetrizine is an anti-histamine drug that helps to remedy allergic rhinitis conditions, including watery eyes, skin rashes, itching, hives, sneezing, runny nose, and swelling caused by insect bites, etc. This can also be used for other allergy types i.e. dust allergy, pollen allergy, food allergies, etc.A doctor can better diagnose the root cause of allergy and prescribe Gixer Syrup (cetirizine) for your child.Dosage Chart For ChildrenItas a very important part of cetirizine medication in babies to provide the ideal dosage plan for your child.

6-11 5ml or 1 tsp once daily/2.5ml or ½ tsp twice daily
>12 10ml or 2 tsp once daily/5ml or 1 tsp twice daily
The above Gixer syrup dosage chartshows the ideal recommended dose for children from 2 to 12 years of age.Cetrizine (the active ingredient in Gixer) is not suggested for children below 2 years because itas not FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approved for children below 24 months.However, it can be used for children below 24 months of age just by the recommendation of an authorized doctor.
