Gynorit tablets belong to the category of medication known as ovulation inhibitors. It is used to prevent pregnancy. It restores the normal functioning of menstrual periods. The generic name of this medication is Norethisterone Acetate.

How does it work?

This medication is made up of a combination of two hormones; progestin and estrogen. It helps to prevent pregnancy by preventing the release of the egg during the menstrual cycle and also avert the sperm from reaching the egg.

Uses

Following are some of the uses of Gynorit medicine.

  • It is used to prevent pregnancy.
  • It is used to control abnormal bleeding.
  • It helps in making your menstrual cycle more regular.
  • It decreases the risk of getting ovarian cysts.
  • It also helps in treating hormonal acne.
  • It is also used with the combination of other medications to abort a baby without a C-section. 

This combination hormone medication is used to prevent Pregnancy.

Dosage

  • The dosage should be taken as prescribed by the doctor.
  • Do not increase or decrease the dosage on your own.
  • You can take the medication before the meal as well, but it is necessary to eat within two hours after taking medicine.
  • The medication starts working after 3 days. If you do not observe any betterment in the condition after this time period, then you must visit the doctor again.
  • In case of overdosage, seek medical assistance immediately.
  • In case of a missed dosage, take medicine as soon as you remember it. Do not take the dosage consecutively. Take the next dosage with a gap of at least 6 hours.
