Myteka 10MG Tab 1x14 (L)

Myteka tablet (Montelukast sodium) is a prescribed medicine that helps to block the substances which may lead to asthma or any allergic reactions in the eyes or on any other part of the body. It belongs to the medical class of leukotriene receptor antagonists. Leukotriene receptor medical class avoid such substances and airways that can cause strain in breathing. 

It does not contain steroids. It does not use for the treatment of asthma attacks. This tablet works by preventing the release of certain substances from noise, which may cause an allergic reaction. It also blocks the action of particular natural chemicals known as leukotrienes in the lungs.

Leukotrienes come from mast cells, which may be released by inhaling an allergen such as pollen. Myteka is mostly recommended to take it at night. Myteka tablet is taken with or without food. 

Therefore, to take Myteka tablets, follow the directions provided by the doctor or the product label present on the product. If you want to make the mixture of this tablet with milk or any other formula, then it should be compulsory for you to take it within fifteen minutes; otherwise, the denaturation in its structure will occur, which will cause some side effects. 

Myteka tablets are available in Pakistan. Myteka tablet’s prices are normal in range as compared to other medicines and are affordable. 

Taking Myteka during pregnancy or breastfeeding is not safe. The doctor only prescribed it in pregnancy if your asthma is not controlled by inhalers. So, consult your doctor in this situation before taking it. However, in the case of breastfeeding, it transfers in the baby in a very little amount that does not disturb the baby but consulting with a doctor will be beneficial.

Uses

Some of Myteka tablet uses are described below.

It is used to avoid wheezing and deficiency in breathing, which may be caused due to asthma. Therefore, it is known that it helps to reduce the number of asthma attacks and is used for chronic asthma treatment. Myteka is helpful to alleviate the symptoms of hay fever, allergic rhino, and asthma.

It gives relief from seasonal and perennial allergies like sneezing, runny and stuffy nose. It also helps to treat indoor and outdoor allergies lasting for a year.

Myteka is also used to intercept and control asthma induced due to exercise in people of almost six-year or older than six years.

It also prevents the narrowing of mussels in the lungs.

Dosage

Myteka dosage for asthma is as follows or take it according to the prescription prescribed by the doctor.

For adults having age over fourteen (14) years:

Normally it is recommended to take 4 mg per day. But if you want to increase the dose, take a maximum of 10 mg per day.

For children (age: 6 to 14 years)

It is recommended to take a maximum of 5 mg or lower than that amount per day.

For children (age: 2 to 5 years)

You can give a maximum of 4 mg per day to children.
