Osiris 20MG 120ML Syp

Osiris syrup is an antibiotic syrup which is used to treat the bacterial infection. The syrup is composed of the Cefpodoxime. However, it is manufactured by Renova Healthcare. The class of medicine to which the Osiris syrup belongs to is Cephalosporin Antibacterial.

Uses

• The syrup is used to treat bacterial infections in the lungs (for example, pneumonia), throat, nasal sinus, skin, ear, and urinary tract.
• The syrup is used for the prevention and treatment of zinc deficiency. It is also used for acute diarrhea in the kids, slow injury, or wound healing.
• It is prescribed or commonly used for the treatment or diagnosis of pharyngitis, bacterial infections, and gonorrhea.
• However, it is used to cure the infections like middle ear, anus, throat, rectum, skin infection, infection in women, infection in the urinary tract, pneumonia.
• The syrup is used to treat the inflammation of sinuses, or we can say acute maxillary sinusitis, cervix, and urethra.
• Moreover, it is used to treat the infection in the lower respiratory tract and bronchitis (inflammation in the lungs).

How does it work?

• It works by killing the bacteria and helps to cure the infection and improve the symptoms caused by the bacteria.
• The medicine works by stopping the bacteria to grow and removing the bacterial infection.

Dosage

• The adult dose: 100 to 400 mg or 30 ml twice a day for five to fourteen days.
• Dose for Children's:  5 mg or 2.5 ml, 7.5 ml for every twelve hours for five to ten days; the maximum dose can be 100-200 mg.

(the right amount of dose depends on the child's weight and condition).

• For throat infection: use the medicine of 100 to 400 mg for 5 to 10 days.
• For pneumonia: use a medicine of 100 to 400 mg for 14 days.
• For urinary tract infection:100 to 400 mg for 7 days.
• For Skin infection: 100 to 400 mg for 7 to 14 days.

The medicine should be taken with food and avoid access dosage.
