Meliane tablets are used to prevent pregnancy. The tablet comprises a combination of two ingredients; gestodene and ethinylestradiol. It is considered one of the best contraceptive pills. This medication works by preventing the release of eggs during the ovulation period. This medication is only prescribed to female patients to prevent pregnancy.

This medication is used with a combination of other medicines to prevent pregnancy.
It is also known as the birth control pill.
It is also helpful in treating gonad deficiency which is the major reason behind low sex drive.

It is a low dose contraceptive medication that does not cause any serious side effects if taken in modern amounts and according to prescription.

It is used to treat menopause symptoms such as hot flashes and vaginal changes, and to prevent osteoporosis(bone loss) in menopausal women.

Dosage

The dosage requirement depends on your condition. The doctor will prescribe you the dosage accordingly.
Do not increase or decrease the dosage without consulting the doctor.
If you do not observe any change after taking the medication, inform the doctor about it and change the medication.
The pack contains 21 tablets, which are required to be taken the whole, except on the days of periods.
This medicine is required to be taken at a single time in 24 hours. Try to take medicine at a specified time daily.

Use caution in patients with a family history of breast cancer or DVT/PE; current or previous depression, endometriosis, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, bone mineral density changes, renal or hepatic impairment, bone metabolic disease, systemic lupus erythematosus; conditions exacerbated by fluid retention (eg, migraine, asthma, epilepsy). Increased risk of ovarian cancer was reported in women who used hormonal therapy for menopausal symptoms. Severe anaphylactic reactions including hives, pruritus, swollen lips-tong-face, respiratory compromise, abdominal pain, vomiting during transdermal treatment were reported. Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using any medicine.
