This medicine is indicated for the treatment of hypertension. It is also used to prevent certain types of chest pain (angina).

This medicine is indicated for the treatment of hypertension. It is also used to prevent certain types of chest pain (angina).
Before taking amlodipine, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or to other dihydropyridine calcium channel blockers (such as nisoldipine, nifedipine) or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details. This medicine should be used with caution in patients with liver disease,thyroid problems. Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially of: a certain structural heart problem (aortic stenosis), very low blood pressure, liver disease. It should be use in caution if patient has an electrolyte imbalance (such as high or low potassium levels in your blood). This drug may pose risks to your pregnancy, therefore please do not take this medicine without consulting your doctor first.
Inflammation of the nose and throat,Dizziness,Nausea or stomach pain,Swelling of the feet, ankles, and lower legs.
