It is used to treat certain types of infections caused by Bacteria. It can be used to treat certain skin infections and to prevent infections in burns, minor cuts, and wounds.

Precautions

Cicatrin is not suitable for patients with hepatic or renal impairment. Cicatrin is considered to be toxic when applied near the ear so avoid using it around the ear and at times it can also increase sensitization. Avoid using the powder on large areas of affected or damaged skin.
