Precautions

Tell your doctor/Pharmacist your medical history, especially of: Personal or family history of Bipolar/Manic-depressive disorder, Personal or family history of Suicide attempts, Liver disease, Seizures, Intestinal ulcers/bleeding (peptic ulcer disease) or Bleeding problems, Hyponatremia, Personal or family history of Glaucoma.

Follow the following precautions while taking this medicine, or follow the precautions directed by the doctor.

Before taking this medicine, completely discuss your past and current medical history. If you are allergic to some ingredients which are present in this medicine, also discuss it with the doctor.
Take this medicine with food. By taking this medicine with food can reduce the upset of your stomach and also other problems of stomach, i.e., stomach pain.
If you are taking Citanew 5mg tablets, then do not cut or crush them. However, you can cut or crush 10mg or 20mg tablets.
Avoid taking alcohol with Citanew tablets. Otherwise, its results will be severe.
Do not use tobacco with this medicine. If you use both together, then it will cause bleeding in the stomach. Therefore, discuss it with the doctor.
Citanew tablet in pregnancy should be taken by the consult of a doctor if necessary. Not enough research has been done in this era.
Citanew tablets in breastfeeding condition should be used if necessary; otherwise, avoid using it as it passes in the breast milk and ultimately in the baby.
Younger adults having an age of more than 12 years should take this medicine. Younger having age less than 12 years take it if is necessary and doctor recommend it.
It is possibly safe for old adults. However, they should also consult the doctor before taking it.

Side Effects

Nausea, Dry mouth, Trouble sleeping, Constipation, Tiredness, Drowsiness, Dizziness, and Increased sweating may occur.
