Claritek is an antibiotic that is used to treat chest and lung infections. It is also used for lower and upper respiratory tract infections, which include (bronchitis, pneumonia, tonsillitis, sinusitis, and pharyngitis). These tablets stop bacteria to grow and treat the bacterial infection. However, it is not used for the viral infections like flu and cold. It is used for sore throat.
It is used to treat certain bacterial infections, Pneumonia, Bronchitis and infections of the ears, sinuses, skin, and throat.
Dosage
For Adults (Children above than 12 yrs.)
The tablet of 250 mg twice a day for normal dose with water, but if the infection is severe, the dosage may increase to 500 mg twice a day. Claritek can be taken with or without food but for 7 to 14 days.
Due to the inflammation of the pharynx and tonsils, this medication is commonly utilized for a time of 10 days. For irritating or infected skin, soft tissue infections, for inflammation, the soreness of cavities, swelling or inflammation in the nasal passages, and bacterial intensification of long-haul bronchitis, for all of these, it is used for 7-14 days.

Use with caution having Liver disease, Kidney disease, Heart disease, Myasthenia gravis.
These tablets are not used for patients(children) who is younger than six months; it's not safe for them. Before using this medication, patients should consult doctors firsts so that they can check their medical history. The patients having heart problems, hepatic (liver) and renal (kidney) impairment, and joint disorder should be cautious.

Side effects that may occur in children which are vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, headache, and rashes.
The severe side effects when using Claritek include some serious disorders, which are Cardiac, metabolism, and nutrition disorders., Immune system, Respiratory, nervous system problems, vascular disorders, and ear problems too.
Some of the overdose indications are vomiting, pain in the stomach, diarrhea, and nausea. If it is very severe, so call for a doctor.
