Gynaecosid Tablet contains Methylestradiol and Methyloestrenolone as the main or active ingredients. It works by ceasing the estradiol-17-beta steroid activity, raising the blood clots, and stimulating the specific nuclear receptors. It is primarily used to treat estrogen deficiency, irregularities of menopause, and other related conditions. 

Composition and Active Ingredients

Gynaecosid Tablet is composed of the following active ingredients:

  • Methyloestrenolone - 5Mg: It is an estrogen and belongs to the Oestrogen Agonist pharmacological group. 
  • Methylestradiol - 0.3Mg: It is also estrogen and belongs to the Oestrogen Agonist pharmacological group. 

Primary Function

The primary function of this medicine is to overcome estrogen deficiency, regulate the menstrual cycle, also used to treat primary and secondary amenorrhea. It is also used for post-menopausal atrophy of the vagina and urinary urgency.

Uses

Gynaecosid Tablet is used to treat, control, prevent, and improve the following conditions and diseases:

Post-menopausal atrophy of the vagina

It is a condition caused by the deficiency of estrogen. The walls of the vagina become thin, inflamed, and dry. It happens mostly after menopause. This condition can make intercourse painful and also cause distressing urinary symptoms. 

Urinary urgency

Sudden urge to urinate.

Dysuria

Painful urination

Urogenital symptoms: 

It contains a list of UTI, including pelvis pain, bad smell, and discomfort, etc. 

Interactions

If you use other medications at the same time, the effects of Gynaecosid Tablet may deteriorate, or it may not work properly. This can increase your risk for possible side effects. Inform the doctor about all the medications and supplements you are using so that the doctor prescribes the medication accordingly. Gynaecosid Tablet may interact with the following:

  • Bromocriptine: It belongs to the class known as dopamine receptor.

  • Dantrolene: It is used to treat spasticity or muscle spasms.

When not to Use

Gynaecosid Tablet should not be used in the following conditions:

  • Breast cancer
  • Hypersensitivity to Gynaecosid Tablet 
  • Patients with abnormal genital bleeding
  • Pregnant women should not use this medication.
  • Patients with the condition of thrombosis. 

Dosage

  • Do not use more than the prescribed dose.
  • Taking excess medication may cause a serious health condition.
