Vepridon tablet is a prescribed medication that is composed of risperidone. It belongs the category of medicines which are used to get relief from severe mental disorder problem such as atypical antipsychotics. This medication is used both for short-term treatment and long-term treatment.

Dosage

The vepridon tablet dosage is decided by the doctor as its dosage depends on the patient's health condition, case, age, and weight. But the usually prescribed dosage by the doctors is listed below.

The vepridon tablet dosage for adults is 2mg once a day. It can be divided into one or two doses. The dosage is increased 1-2mg after every 24 hours. It also depends on the patient's condition, i.e., patient response. But the maximum dosage does not exceed more than 4-8mg.

Vepridon tablet dosage for children is 0.5mg once a day. Children's dosage is also increased after every 24 hours .05mg to 1mg, but the dose should not increase by 3mg per day.

It is used to treat certain mental/mood disorders (such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder).

Contraindications

Vepridon tablet is contraindicated to the patients having hypersensitivity reaction problems and anaphylactic.
It is contraindicated to the patients having angioedema issues.
The use of the vepridon tablet during pregnancy is also contraindicated. But you should talk to your doctor. Also, it is contraindicated in breastfeeding cases or mostly not recommended as it may pass into breast milk.
